Moreland City Council’s Writer In Residence Program
Applications close Thursday 31st October 2019
The Moreland Writer In Residence Program supports local writers at all stages of their career with resources and space to strengthen their professional practice and is available to writers of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, children’s literature, script and screenwriting for stage, radio, television and film, and podcasts.
In line with the priority groups outlined in Moreland City Council’s Human Rights Policy 2016 – 2026, the Moreland Writer in Residence program encourages submissions from writers who face additional barriers in the development of their writing careers, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers, writers with disability, female writers, LGBTIQ writers, and writers from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Up to three successful applicants will be provided with access to a studio space for a period of three months (within a period from January - May 2020) and an honorarium of $3,000.
