Choir Conductor

The Soufflé Sisters Choir, a friendly women’s community choir in Pascoe Vale South, is seeking an experienced, organised and committed piano accompanist to begin in January 2020. The choir has been running since 2006 and meets for 2 hours once a week on a Wednesday evening during school terms. The choir also perform 2-3 three times a year in concerts where a donation is made to a number of different causes.

They are looking for a skilled accompanist who is able to work well with the choral conductor and who shows initiative in providing musical support for the choir’s singers. The ability to perform a range of repertoire from baroque to blues to pop will be highly regarded, and an approachable and welcoming nature will be looked upon fondly for our non-auditioned 3-part choir.

As well as attending rehearsals and concerts, the accompanist required to help in the recording of rehearsal tracks. Rates start at $50/hour depending on experience and remuneration for attendance at planning meetings and recording of rehearsal tracks are negotiated as necessary.
