Auspicious Arts Projects is a not-for-profit creative community management organisation. We provide independent artists with a secure and accessible framework to assist them with creative developments and producing work.
Working with Auspicious means that artists have the benefits and financial protection of working with a larger organisation, while remaining independent and in creative control. With an open door policy and over 25 years of industry experience, we’ve worked on projects across the complete independent arts spectrum.
We also work with a range of arts organisations and local councils to provide administrative and financial support.
Auspicious Arts Projects is looking to employ an Assistant Client Manager. Working as part of a team, you will assist independent artists to undertake their creative projects. This is a fixed term contract to fill a maternity leave position.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the day-to-day administration and financial aspects of each project, providing support from the initial budgeting phase through to the presentation of the work, and then finalising the acquittals for the relevant funding bodies. You will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, including artists (our clients), funding bodies and other arts organisations.
Key Selection Criteria:
Experience work within a not-for-profit arts or cultural organisation
Financial administration and the management of project budgets
Project management
Experience in HR systems, e.g. Contracts, Workcover, Superannuation, PAYG Tax
Solid level of competency in Microsoft Word and Excel, databases and accounting software
Strong communication (including written) and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail
Time management skills
Please note that the above criteria are highly desired, but you are not expected to be an expert in all areas. These are skills you will gain through working in this role.
Position: Assistant Client Manager (maternity position)
Contract Dates: 8 June 2020 -31 January 2021
Based at: Collingwood Yards 103/35 Johnston Street Collingwood
Time Commitment: 3-4 days per week (negotiable)
Salary: $53 719 per annum full time - pro rata four days a week $42 975
