Arts Access Victoria - Art for Everyone: an inclusive practice guide
'Art for Everyone: Approaches to Inclusive Practice in Arts and Mental Health' is a workbook intended for individuals and organisations seeking to create inclusive art programs thoughtfully and respectfully. It provides guidance and resources to facilitate the development of projects that actively involve Deaf and Disabled artists.
Support Act
In recognition of the mental health challenges in the music industry, Support Act have joined forces with digital mental health experts at THIS WAY UP. They're offering Australian music industry professionals FREE ACCESS to a variety of research-backed online treatment programs. These programs provide structured guidance to help you effectively manage stress, anxiety, and low mood by imparting proven psychological skills.
The Arts Wellbeing Collective - Wellbeing Training Program
The Arts Wellbeing Collective's training program is tailored by and for the arts industry, addressing its distinctive challenges. It includes existing offerings like Mental Health First Aid, as well as newly designed workshops spanning two hours, half-day, and full-day sessions. This program is available to both individuals and organisations within the performing arts, aiming to educate and empower workers to proactively enhance their own and their team's mental wellbeing.
13 Yarn
13YARN, also known as Thirteen YARN, is the inaugural national crisis helpline designed to assist Indigenous individuals feeling overwhelmed or struggling to cope. It offers a confidential platform for one-on-one conversations with a Lifeline-trained Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Crisis Supporter, available 24/7. 13YARN aims to empower the community by providing a culturally safe space for open dialogue about concerns or needs without judgment.
Beyond Blue - NewAccess for Small Business Owners
NewAccess for Small Business Owners (NASBO) is a free and confidential mental health coaching program offered nationally via phone or video, without needing a doctor's referral. Funded by The Treasury and administered by Richmond Fellowship Queensland, it aims to support small business owners over six sessions. Specially trained mental health coaches, with a background in small business, assist in managing stress and overwhelm through problem-solving approaches.
Hey Mate
Hey Mate is a vocation-specific Employee Assistance Program for Creative Industries where they are able to provide private and personalised counseling services through phone, video chat, or in-person sessions. They also offer upskill workshops and crisis support across Australia by fully registered and qualified professionals who aim to support employees, creating a warm and nurturing environment.
Reach Out
ReachOut is a secure and confidential platform, providing a safe haven for young individuals to openly express themselves, gain insights into their lives, and connect with non-judgmental support. Tailored for and by young people, ReachOut operates entirely online, ensuring anonymity and confidentiality. It offers various support avenues, including one-to-one peer assistance, moderated online communities, as well as valuable tips, stories, and resources.
CrewCare
CrewCare is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the welfare of all production workers in the live music industry sector including technical and backstage personnel, their loved ones and all who work or have worked ‘behind the scenes’ in Australian live music.
First Nations Support Line
Support Act is pleased to facilitate a culturally safe experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians, managers, crew and music workers through the First Nations Support Line.

QLife provides anonymous and free LGBTIQ+ peer support and referral for people in Australia wanting to talk about sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.

MensLine Australia
MensLine Australia is the national telephone and online support, information and referral service for men with family and relationship concerns. This free service is available from anywhere in Australia and is staffed by professional counsellors experienced in men’s issues.
Suicide Call Back Service
Suicide Call Back Service is a 24-hour, nationwide service that provides free telephone, video and online counselling. Their professionally trained counsellors have specialist skills in working with suicide-related issues and they can help you to work through the pain and distress you may be feeling.
Yarning SafeNStrong
VAHS have established a free and confidential counselling service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Yarning SafeNStrong is available to people and families who need to have a yarn with someone about their wellbeing.
Brother to Brother
The Brother to Brother crisis line provides phone support for Aboriginal men who need someone to talk to about relationship issues, family violence, parenting, drug and alcohol issues or who are struggling to cope for other reasons.
The line is staffed by Aboriginal men, including Elders, who have a lived experience in the issues that the line offers support for.
Rainbow Door
Rainbow Door is a free service for all LGBTIQ+ people in Victoria, their friends, family and peers. You might just be looking for advice, or you may be needing some further support and referrals.
